Though all members of the OGVFD aid in rescue operations, select members hold specialized certifications. These certification could include Vehicle Rescue, Hazardous Material, Water Rescue, and/or Ropes Rescue. All members have the ability to attend trainings to gain certifications to aid the department and community we serve.
The maintenance of our fleet, equipment, and facilities requires a lot of time and energy. Members of the department work together to maintain, repair, and replace equipment and items that need to be addressed. It is the reasonability of each member to acknowledge and ensure that proper maintenance is being done.
